Lora Jean Walker, born March 15, 1947, left this world to walk with the angels on April 24, 2009. She will be missed but not forgotten by the many lives she touched along the way. Lora was born in Copley and graduated from Copley High School. Over the years, she was employed at Firestone and Fairlawn Country Clubs, Oaks Country Club in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Holmes Regional Medical Center and Palm Bay Community Hospital in Florida. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Charles and Tyrone and fathers, Albert Garrett and Arnold Walker. Left to mourn her passing are her mother, Alice; brother, Terence; nieces, nephews, cousins; special friend, Cecil; and her many, many friends. No calling hours will be held and private services will be at a later date for family members. In memory of Lora Jean, donations may be made to the Humane Society of Greater Akron, 4904 Quick Rd., Stow, 44264.
