Loren J. Simpkins

Loren Jack Simpkins, 93, of Kent, passed peacefully at 5:00am on January 6, 2018. He was born on January 3, 1925 in Akron, OH to the late Albert and Florence Simpkins, of Suffield, OH. Jack served in the Navy and was a member of the Mogadore VFW. He was also a 32nd degree Mason who belonged to the Ravenna Lodge. Jack was a master craftsman who built multiple homes for he and his family to live in. He retired after 32 years from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company, and resided in Florida for 40 years. Jack enjoyed picnics and boating, and returning to Akron to visit his family for the summer.

Jack was preceded in death by his loving daughter, Linda Adorni.

Jack leaves behind his son, Tom Simpkins; daughter, Pat Dorion; grandchildren, Jackie Dorion, Turner Dorion, Mike Dorion, Bobby Hartung, Michelle Parr, Jennifer Krec, Corey Simpkins, Ray Adorni III, and Matt Dorion; great-grandchildren, Lisa Parr, Jessica Albright, Brittany Hartung, Renee Parr, Cameron Krec, Dustin Dorion, Brandon Dorion, Lindsay Parr, Paige Krec, Matthias Adorni, Brianna Simpkins, and Lauren Simpkins; and great-great-grandchildren, Kayson Parr, Julie Albright, and Kaylee Parr.
