Loretta A. Thorn, born August 25, 1932, passed away peacefully on October 1, 2010 surrounded by her loving family. She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Paige; mother, Effie Paige; and brother, Joe Paige. Loretta is survived by her devoted husband of 27 years, Forest; son, Gary (Shirley) Kopcha; daughter, Judy Kopcha; sister, Sidney (Harry) Kohlbacher; grandchildren, Randy (Beth), Angie and Stacie (Steve); great-grandchildren, Brook, Jacob, Julia, Brett, Bryce and Audrey; special niece, Sandy Fortier. Loretta was a compassionate person, a warrior mother, a loving wife and best friend. She touched many lives with her infectious smile and sense of humor. She will be sadly missed but never forgotten.

Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free
I'm following the path God laid for me.
I took His hand when I heard Him call;
I turned my back and left it all.
I could not stay another day
To laugh, to love, to work or play.
Tasks left undone must stay that way

Calling hours will be Monday from 4 – 7 p.m. and Tuesday from 10-11 a.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron where funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Hillside Memorial Park.
