Loretta M. Bibby, 97, of Ellet passed away on September 6, 2022 at Danbury Senior Living in Columbus. She was born on August 24, 1925 to the late Glenn and Nellie {Bowersock} Smith.
In addition to her parents, Loretta was preceded in death by her first husband John S. DeVenny, their son John T. DeVenny, her second husband Victor Bibby, and five siblings.
She is survived by her daughter-in-law Nancy DeVenny; grandsons John, Mike (Kristen) and Brian DeVenny; great-grandchildren Tyler Call, Morgan DeVenny and Jameson DeVenny; step-son David (Mary) Bibby; step-daughter, Cheryl (Stephen) Kegg; 6 step-grandchildren; 4 step-great-grandchildren.
Loretta retired from AT&T as a telephone clerk after over 25 years of service. During retirement, Loretta and Vic traveled often, especially in their Airstream trailer. She had a talent for flower arranging and gardening, and often involved the grandkids in her efforts, by bribing them with cookies.
Graveside services will be held at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 2569 Romig Rd., Akron, OH 44320 on Tuesday, September 13 at 1:00 p.m. Loretta will be laid to rest with her husband and their son. To leave a message for the family, please scroll below.
