Loretta E. Billman, 77, of Akron, passed away December 28, 2013. She was born in Cleveland, OH on July 17, 1936 to the late Richard and Mary O'Shaughnessy.
Loretta loved music, singing in the Annunciation choir and spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Phillip, of 49 years; brother, Rev. Father Patrick O'Shaughnessy; sisters, Rita, Mya, Kate and Margie.
Loretta is survived by her children, Robert, Kathy (Jeff) Ackerman, Bryan (Cynthia), Michael (Joyce), Laura (Steve) Schneider and Mark (Deanna); 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; sisters, Helen and Lucille (Rudy).
The family would like to thank caregivers Lori, Lemitra and the Visiting Nurse Hospice.
Family and friends may call on Thursday, January 2, from 4-7 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, January 3, at St. Paul Catholic Church, 1580 Brown St., Akron at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Fr. Ralph Thomas presiding.
Interment at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Visiting Nurse Service and Affiliates.
