Loretta Gay Glaze

Loretta Gay Glaze, age 84 of Peoria, Arizona, formerly of Akron, Ohio, She went home to be with Jesus on October 1, 2022 after a battle with cancer for almost two years.
She was born on May 3, 1938 in Pennsville, Ohio, the daughter of the late Marvin C. and Ada Gay (nee Robinson) Cumberledge.
Gay was a homemaker raising her family, as well as, the bookkeeper for her husband's masonry business.
She enjoyed fishing, crocheting, reading, gardening and was an avid bowler. However, her greatest joy was being with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, attending events and parties. She also loved her dogs.
Survivors include her loving children, Linda (John) Branch, Edward "Eddie" (Missy) Glaze, Richard (Barbara) Glaze, Thomas Glaze and Charles (Norma) Glaze; 14 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
Gay also has a sister, Martha Beaver and a brother, Clyde (Rita) Cumberledge and many nieces, nephews cousins and friends that mourn her loss.
Other than her parents, Loretta was preceded in death by her husband, Edward David Glaze on September 7, 2008, they were united in marriage on February 19, 1955; and her brothers, Robert and Ray Cumberledge.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 11, 2022 at 12:00 PM, where family and friends are welcome to visit from 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 North Canton Road, Akron, Ohio 44305.
