Loretta A. Shaddix

Loretta A. Shaddix, 77, of Brimfield, went home to be with the Lord on August 14, 2018 after a lengthy illness. She was devoted to her family and her faith. She especially enjoyed her grandchildren and her church. During her employment, she enjoyed her coworkers at SGS Hand Tool Co. Loretta volunteered at several church events and Good Neighbors.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Francis and Cora Day; five brothers; and two sisters. She leaves to cherish her memory, loving of husband of 52 years, Thomas Lee; daughters, Sheila Ballway, Sherri (Dennis) McGuinness, Cindy (Steve 2) Scott, and Candee (Steve 1) Brown; grandchildren, Jeremy (Becky), Daniel (Alison), Kristen, Cara, Nicholas, Cody, Kayla, Brady, Courtney, Tommy and Abby; great-grandchildren, Gabriella, Maggie and Robert; brother, Doug; and sister, Rosemary. She also leaves behind many neighbors and friends that she considered family. Her home was always opened to anyone that needed her.

Family will receive friends on Saturday August 18, 2018 from 4-8pm at Newcomer Funeral Home 131 N. Canton Rd. Akron, OH 44305. From 7:30-8pm Pastor Brandon Wilber will share words of support. Burial will take place in Eva, AL at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to New Hope Church of God, 20990 Oak St. Alliance, OH 44601.
