Lorie Jean Kendall

Lorie Jean Kendall, 49, loving daughter, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on December 1, 2011, after a long, courageous battle with breast cancer. Lorie was born on June 1, 1962 to the late Albert Kendall and Nancy Kendall, and lived in the Akron area her entire life. She was a faithful member of The Chapel. She worked for Firestone as a tire builder for over 8 years. She also worked for Quantum Jewelry and Little Forest Nursing Home. In addition to her father she was also preceded in death by her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Herwick; and her uncle, John Herwick. She is survived by her mother, Nancy Kendall; brother, John (Jean) Kendall; many loving family; and her special friends Shirley Luttner, Donna Corbett; and her beloved dog, Sweetie. Calling hours will be Monday, 5-7 p.m., at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, where a funeral service will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice Care Center, 3358 Ridgewood Rd., Akron, OH 44333.
