Loris J. "Slick" Scott, 70, passed away to be with the Lord on August 27, 2010. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed his hunting and fishing. Loris was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Luann; children, Wendy (Timothy) Moneypenny, Lisa (Thomas) Clements, and Eric Scott; grandchildren, Timothy and Matthew Moneypenny, and T. Cameron Clements; siblings, Dorothy Lichti, Mary Allen, Ann Hubbard, Roy "Jim" Scott, William Scott, and Robert Scott; and many nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held Tuesday, August 31, from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, where a service will take place on Wednesday, Sept. 1, at 11 am. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park.
