Losie Jones, age 77, went home peacefully surrounded by her family on March 18, 2005, at Hospice Care Center. She was a resident of Akron who loved yard work especially taking care of flowers and gardening.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Loyd and Bertha Ash. She is survived by her husband, Sylvan Jones, of over 22 years; daughters, Mary Rhodes of Hudson, Betty Cutlip of Akron, Sylvia Hereford of Akron, Linda Kraftick of Akron, Vicki Angerstein of Akron, and Tracey (Dave) Coleman of Wadsworth; sons, Tom (Lana) Church , Bob Church , and Bill (Jackie) Church all of Tampa, FL; sisters, Kathleen (Daryl) Poling of Barberton, Grace (Junior) Wallbrown of Uniontown, Mabel Miller of West Virginia, and Maysell Lesher of Georgia; brother, Willi (Jo) Ash of Barberton; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren, and numerous extended family and friends.
Calling hours will be held Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. A memorial service will be held at a later date at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
