Lottie A. Hawkins

Lottie A. Hawkins, 84, passed away on December 6, 2022. She was born on December 25, 1937 the daughter of the late Forrest and Elizabeth Abel. She was a woman of faith and attended Holy Family Catholic Church. Lottie retired after many years of dedicated service at Century Products. She enjoyed working in her vegetable garden. Lottie was well known for her many cooking and baking dishes, especially her fried chicken and delicious pies. She also enjoyed golfing. She had many accomplishments but her greatest was her love for her family.

She was preceded in death by her brother Forrest Abel.

Lottie is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Orval D Hawkins; children Elizabeth Silverstrom, Sandra (Robert) Askew, Orval (Nancy) Hawkins Jr., and Richard (Tamara) Hawkins; grandchildren Michael, Monika, Michele, Scott, John, Ryan, Daniel, Cara, Gabby, and Sean; 14 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation will be held December 15th from 12:00pm to 2:00pm at Newcomer Funeral Home where services will be held at 2:00pm. If anyone would like to send something other than flowers, we are asking that you pick out a special Christmas ornament to help us decorate the family tree.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, December 17th, 2022 at 4621 Kent Rd. Kent, Ohio 44240. Please come and celebrate with family and friends from 2pm- 4pm, all are welcome.
