Lou Anne Harris, age 84, of Suffield Twp., Ohio, died at her home surrounded by her loving family on December 4, 2020.
She was born on October 27, 1936, in Ravenna, Ohio, the daughter of the late Harold Laverne and Virginia L. (nee McCool) Laubert.
Lou Anne was a dedicated homemaker and made sure her family was well taken care of. Lou Anne was an avid sports fan and loved to fish, bowl, play cards, and be with her loving family. In her younger years, she helped to form the Randolph Girls Softball Association, as well as, coach. She was a member of a women's monthly card club for close to 40 years.
Lou Anne had a green thumb with all of her flower gardening throughout the years. She taught her grandchildren names of every flower she planted.
Survivors include her devoted and loving husband, Lee Junior Harris, whom she married on September 14, 1957; her children, Carol (Joseph) Harris and Michael (Andrea) Harris; and her daughter-in-law, Teresa Harris. She was the best grandma to Brittany (Kevin) Bittner, Megan (Zachary) Cunningham, Michael Harris, Tyler Harris and Hunter Hillis; her great-grandchildren, Abigail Cunningham, Kevin, Margaret and Maryann Bittner, and one on the way, Robert Anthony Cunningham.
Her siblings also survive, Edgar (Nita) Laubert and Patricia (Steve) Flanagan; and one sister-in-law, Shirley Laubert.
Other than her parents, Lou Anne was preceded in death by her son, Robert Lee Harris; and her brother, Kenneth Laubert.
There will be a private family graveside service at German Reformed Cemetery in Randoph Twp. at a later date.
