Louis "Tom" Buza, 73, of Akron, died peacefully in his sleep on December 7, 2013. He was born in Akron and graduated from Kenmore High School. Tom worked for 23 years at Ohio Brass and retired from the City of Akron Sewer Maintenance Department after 15 years of service. Tom enjoyed his children and all his large family and friends. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling with Helen, playing his harmonicas, and dancing. Tom belonged to the Hungarian American Club, Rubber Capital Harmonica Club, and the Akron Country and Western Association.
He was preceded in death by parents, Louis and Julia Buza; and sister, Joann McGlone. He leaves his loving life partner and companion of 25 years, Helen Hanlon. He is also survived by his loving children, Joe Buza, Kelli (Rodger) McKay, and Todd (Michele) Buza; seven grandchildren: Ashley, Brittany, Amanda, Kara, Ashley E., Brooke, and Jared; great-granddaughter, Alaya; great-grandson, Tyson; extended grandchildren Ryan and Lauren Hanlon; sister, Karen Leslie; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be Wednesday December 11 from 2-4 followed by a 4:00 p.m. funeral service at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron.
