Louis J. Barbero, 87, passed away March 14, 2010 after a long illness. He was born in Phillipi, WV, and retired from Goodyear after 35 years of service. Preceded in death by his parents, Frank & Louisa Barbero; and his loving wife of over 50 years, Maxine. Louis is survived by his daughter, Sandra (Ernest) Johnson; grandchildren, Michelle (Eric) Fagan, and Jessica (Cherice Evans) Johnson; great-grandchildren, Sara and Emily Fagan; sister, Frances Zito; and niece, Sylvia Costello and her son, Matt. We will not mourn his passing, but celebrate his life. A visitation will be held Saturday, March 27, from 11:30 am to 12 noon at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, where a service will follow at 12 noon with Msgr. Robert Wolff officiating. Entombment at Hillside Memorial Park.
