Louis Zook

Louis "Mick" Zook, 81, of Akron, passed away unexpectedly on May 28, 2018. He was born in Akron on March 8, 1937 to the late Louis and Selma Zook Sr. Mick was a master mechanic in Orlando, Florida for most of his career.
He was an avid fisherman and had many pleasant memories fishing with family. More recently, he and his son Mickey enjoyed riding motorcycles together. In addition to his parents, Mick was preceded in death by his son, Matthew R. Zook; sister, Mary Lou Radcliff; and brother, Robert Zook. He will be dearly missed by his loving wife of 44 years, Beverly (nee Sasko) Zook; sons, Mickey (Mandy) Zook and Mike C. Zook (Peggy); daughters, Pam (Casey) Davis, Connie McPeak, and Shelly (Jose)Martinez; daughter-in-law, Jamie Prough Zook: siblings, Phyllis "Toots" Case, Dorothy Oles, Vera Berger, Chuck Zook, and Betty Berger; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. He also leaves his beloved companion and eating buddy, Peanut.
Family and friends may visit on Thursday, May 31, 2018 from 5-7 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
