Louise E. Deckert, 96, passed away on January 7, 2013.
Louise was a member of St. Peter's Episcopal Church where she served on the altar guild. She retired from Firestone and enjoyed successfully playing cards. She was an avid reader.
She is survived by her sons, Henry (Judy) and Richard (Sylvia); daughter, Marilyn (Jerry) Shriner; sister, Shirley Frye; 8 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry J., in 1989.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, 12 p.m., at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. Interment to follow at Northlawn Memorial Gardens. Family and friends may call one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Harbor Light Hospice, 25 South Main St., Suite 7, Munroe Falls, OH 44262.
