Louise Mae Ferris

Louise Mae Ferris, age 93 of Canton, Ohio, died on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at McKinley Heatlh Center at 9:50 AM.

She was born on November 13, 1923 in Massillon, Ohio, the daughter of the late Harold Johnson, Sr. and Edyth Webb Johnson Seide.

Louise was a member of the Millheim Baptist Church in Akron. She enjoyed crafts, knitting, reading, and she was adventurous.

Survivors include her children, Robert J. Ferris, Jr.; two grandchildren, Arthur E. Gould, III, and Rodney Scott (Tammy) Gould; six great-grandchildren, Ashley Gould, Jason (Martha) Gould, Crystal Gould, Heather Hill, Amber Johnson, and Steven Johnson; ten great-great grandchildren, Brandon, Christopher, Sarah, Natalie, Jacob, Staciawenna, Adrianna, Alyssa, Adonai, and Addilynn. Two siblings, also survive, Carlyle (Rosemary) Johnson and Marie Bleisath; her caretaker and son-in-law, Arthur E. Gould, Jr.

Other than her parents, Louise was preceded in death by her step-father, Fred "Fritz" Seide; her daughter, Karen Ann Gould; her granddaughter, Laura Lynn Hardy; her siblings, Joyce Thornley, and Harold Johnson, Jr.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, May 6, 2017 at 3:00 PM at Millheim Baptist Church, 2261 Hayne Road, Akron, Ohio 44312, where friends and family may visit from 2:00 PM until the time of the service. Pastor Kim Lawrence will celebrate Louise's life.
