Lowell Lynn Kuhl
Lowell Lynn Kuhl passed away peacefully surrounded by his wife and children on December 7, 2011. He fought a courageous battle with glioblastoma for three months. Lowell was born July 2, 1939 in Hardman, West Virginia to the late Lynn and Muriel Kuhl. He retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber after 45 years of service. A lifelong musician, Lowell enjoyed playing the guitar and banjo and particularly loved bluegrass. He was an avid outdoorsman and spent much of his free time hiking, fishing, and tending his flower gardens. He loved spending time with his family, friends, and his cat Molly. Lowell was preceded in death by his parents; and sisters, Naomi Franks and Carmen Vallen. He will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 42 years, Loretta; children, Andy (Kelli) Kuhl, Sandy (Charlie) Griffin, Randa Kuhl (Tim Treadway), Philip (Angie) Kuhl, and Robert (Kathy) Wilson; sisters, Wanda (Michael) Weekly and Rosemary Hysell; grandchildren, Jake Griffin, Alex Kuhl, Brooke Kuhl, Lea Kuhl, Katelin Treadway, and Kayla Wilson; and many nieces and nephews. Lowell's family wishes to thank the staff members at Hospice Care Center for all their care and support. Visitation will be Saturday December 10 from 8:30-10:00 a.m. followed by a 10:00 a.m. funeral service with Rev. Mike Prebynski officiating at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Care Center, 3358 Ridgewood Rd., Akron 44333.
