Loyetta Jean Roach

Loyetta Jean Roach, 82, of Akron, passed away at her home after a 10-year battle with Alzheimer's on November 7, 2024. She was born on June 4, 1942 to Betty Wolgamott, who passed away when Loyetta was 2 years old, and Lloyd (Rosella) Mobley, who loved and raised her. 

Loyetta was preceded in death by her parents and grandson Robert Dye.

Loyetta is survived by her loving husband of 49 years Jim; children James Dye, Robert Dye, Michael (Shannon) Dye, James H. Roach, Ronald Roach and Lisa (Michael) Subick; grandchildren Tammy (Len) Smith, Joshua (Megan) Dye, Jesse Dye, Monica (Justin) Burns, Melanie Dye, Erica (James) Roach, Lauren (Matt) Roach and John (Darasia) Subick; 7 great-grandchildren; siblings Loretta, John, Teddy and Diane (Max); special friend Anjenette Lowden. 

Loyetta retired from Akron General Medical Center after 16 years of service. She loved animals, the number 356, playing bingo, chatting with her neighbors Wayne and Felicia, and most of all, loved her kids and grandbabies. Loyetta cherished family get-togethers, especially around the holidays.

Serenity Hospice was wonderfully compassionate in their care of Loyetta, and her family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to their staff.
