Lucas J. "Luke" Smolinski

Lucas J. "Luke" Smolinski, 17, passed away unexpectedly at home December 2, 2024. Born in Barberton, Ohio, he was a lifelong resident of Norton, Ohio. Luke enjoyed music, eating popcorn, playing with his toys, going to the park and spinning the steering wheel, meeting new people, leading folks on walks by holding hands and spending time with his family.

Luke was preceded in death by his brother, Mark Pitts. He will be sadly missed by his parents , Steve Smolinski and Hannah Grebelsky; siblings, Adelynn, Arwyn, Alex, Lily; grandparents, Dennis and Julie Smolinski, Mark and Annie Grebelsky; many cousins, aunts and uncles; all of his wonderful caregivers and teachers including Tina, Vicki, Mickie, Donna, Nisha, Tammy.

Family and friends are invited to visit Monday, December 9, 2024 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Newcomer, Akron Chapel, 131 N. Canton Rd. A graveside service will take place Tuesday, December 10 at 11 a.m. at Western Star Cemetery in Norton. Memorial donations may be made for the benefit of Luke's caregivers - please forward them directly to the family.
