Lucille R. Denholm

Lucille R. Denholm, 88, passed away on November 2, 2009. Lucille was a quiet and kind person who enjoyed writing poetry, collecting mice, going to Disney World, and playing bingo. She retired from Akron Public Schools and had attended Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church. Preceded in death by her husband, Robert; brother, Richard Ballenger; and sisters, Joannie and Kathleen. Survivors include her daughters, Joan (Roger) Lee, of Tallmadge, Dorothy Mulhearn, of Akron, Deanna Reitz, of Tallmadge, and Kathy (Jeff) Patterson, of Orlando, FL; son, Robert (Lois), of California; sisters, Rena Baker, of Akron, and Karen Ashby, of Florida; 10 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank Heather Knoll Nursing Home for their care and kindness. Calling hours will be Thursday, 12-2 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., with a memorial service at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.
