Lucille F. Durst, 101, of Akron, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 11, 2022. She was born on May 28, 1921.
She was preceded in death by her husband Junior Durst and their son, Jerry Durst.
Lucille worked as a nanny during her early years. World War II called Lucille to support the efforts as a Rosie the Riveter. Finally, she worked as an associate at Polsky's, before turning her focus to raising her family.
Lucille is survived by her loving sons Kenneth Durst and Ronald (Debbie) Durst; grandchildren Carrie (Vince) Franjesevic and Joseph Durst; great-grandchildren Jessica (Erik), Andrew and Adam (Grace); great-great-grandchildren Evan, Timothy, Paige and Baby Franjesevic.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 16 from 3:00 p.m. until the memorial service begins at 5:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd. Akron, OH 44305. To leave a message for Lucille's family, please scroll below.
