Luella F. Younkins, 78, was called home Sunday, January 8, 2012 with family and friends by her side. Luella was born in Johnstown, PA to the late William "Earl" and Ada (Mitchell) Jenkins. She lived most of her life in Springfield Twp. and was a member of Calvary Temple. She enjoyed being with her family, friends and working on her family genealogy and helping others. Luella was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Catherine; and brothers, William, Harry, and Glenn. She will be deeply missed by her loving husband of 60 years, James Younkins; and children, Barbara, Deborah (Mark), Beverly (Michael), Kenneth (Jenn), and Terry (Rose). Also 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. The family would like to give Special Thanks to her good neighbors for all their love and caring support. Calling hours will be held Wednesday, January 11, from 10 am to 12 pm at Calvary Temple, 3045 Albrecht Ave., Akron, with a funeral service to follow with Brother Lindsey Hayes officiating. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made to Summa Hospice Services, 444 N. Main St. P.O. Box 2090 Akron, Ohio 44309.
