LuVernia Potts, 96, passed away on March 12, 2007. Born on January 31, 1911 in West Virginia, LuVernia had been an Akron resident for many years. She worked for Lawson's Milk Company for many years. LuVernia thoroughly enjoyed every episode of "The Price is Right" and had a great love for playing Bingo. She was a clever, ingenious person until the very end, always finding a better, more efficient way of doing things. Preceded in death by her husband Glenville; son John Paul; daughter Barbara Ann; and 2 grandchildren. Survivors include her children June Shreve, Genene Katz, Jane (Mannie) Ecker, Sonny (Becky) Potts, Sheila Reighard, and David (Shelly) Potts; sister Virginia Bolton; 25 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Special thanks to the staff at Doylestown Care Center for their loving care and support. Cremation has taken place and services will be announced at a later date.
