Lydia Ann Potter, age 83 of Akron passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, November 8, 2022. A lifelong resident of Akron, Lydia was born to the late John and Helen {Sabaka} Jelus.
Lydia will always be loved and dearly missed by her children Lisa (Donnie) Moore, Dorene (Tim) Sees and John (Shannon) Potter; granddaughter Kylie Sees.
Lydia was an avid fan of Cleveland sports, and could be known to watch reality TV from time to time, alongside her cat, Dinky.
Lydia was a selfless person with a strong faith and an unparalleled love for her family. Her kindness left an impression on everyone she came across, her cards brought words of comfort and warmth, and her welcoming spirit brought light into the lives of her nearest and dearest. She will always be fondly remembered by those whose lives she touched.
All are welcome to visit at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd. Akron, OH 44305 on Monday, November 14 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 15 at 11:00 a.m. at Chapel of Prayer Baptist Church, 1811 Brittain Rd., Akron, OH 44310.
