Lyle G. "Howdy" "Pop Pop" Hazelett
Lyle G. "Howdy" "Pop Pop" Hazelett, 81, passed away on March 2, 2008. He was a veteran of WWII, having served with the US Navy. Lyle was a member of Arlington Memorial Baptist Church. He was a lifelong truck driver and retired from Continental Baking. Preceded in death by his parents Curtis Hazelett and Ethel Nickerson; and sister Kathy Null. Survivors include his wife Ruth of 59 years; daughter Claudia (Paul) Goodwin; son Ed (Cindy); grandchildren Jason, Jeremy, Kelly, John, and Kristin; 10 great-grandchildren; and special niece Sue (Roger) Dukeman. Calling hours will be Wednesday, 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd. where a funeral service will be held Thursday at 11 a.m., Pastor Donald Davies officiating. Interment at Grandview Memorial Park.
