Lynda J. Caldwell-Woods

Lynda J. Caldwell-Woods, 63, went home to be with the Lord on February 19, 2024. Lynda was born May 8, 1960, to the late NC and Roberta Avent. Lynda was a graduate of South High School in 1978 and later attended Lane College in Jackson, TN. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church.

Lynda is preceded in death by her parents, NC and Roberta Avent; sister Mary Gatlin and brother Monroe Avent. She leaves to cherish her loving memory, the love of her life, her husband David Woods; her loving sons Scott and Avante (Tiffany) Caldwell; daughter Evongela Perry; brothers, James (Maxine) Avent; Edward (Ruth) Avent; Richard (Detra) Avent. Sister Geraldine Avent. Grandchildren Danaya, Dayla, Kimari, Avante Jr., Mariah, Avonii and Makayla Caldwell, Jasmine, Kayla and Janae Perry.

Family and friends are invited to visit Wednesday, February 28, 2024 from 3 to 4 p.m. at Newcomer, Akron Chapel, 131 N. Canton Rd. The funeral service will follow at 4 p.m. at the funeral home.
