Lynette A. Freiheit

October 28, 1962 — August 4, 2018

Lynette Alison "Pnut" Freiheit (Nee McGarvey)

Lynette left this world on August 4, 2018 after a 10 month courageous battle with pancreatic cancer, in which she fought until her last breath. She was born on October 28, 1962 in Indiana, PA. Lynette was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church. She retired from Babcock and Wilcox after 38 years of service.

Lynette enjoyed overnight shopping trips, exercise class and dinners, and yard sales with her best friends. Our Pnut was a friend and a second mom to many, and had a pure heart of gold. She was a true warrior, inspiration, hero, and all around an amazing person.

Lynette is proceeded in death by her grandmother, Dorothy Karper, and brother-in-law, Steven Russell.

She will live on in the hearts of her loving husband of 20 years, Thomas Freiheit "P"; parents, Brad and Dorothy McGarvey; sister, Melody Russell; daughters, Holly (Tim) Lycan and Heidi Skinner (Frank Thomas); granddaughters, Briella, Olivia, and Ruby; nephews, Joe and Dan Haney; mother-in-law, Joan Meredith; and her beloved fur child, her dog Maggie (who she loved to sing to).

Lynette's daughters were everything to her, as "Momma Pnut" was everything to them. The beautiful bond she shared with her granddaughters was a true blessing and they will always love and adore "Gramma Pnut."

She will be loved and missed by many and will always remain in our hearts and may make her presence known when you see a beautiful purple butterfly. Our Pnut was truly awesome.

Private service will be held for family.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial donation in Lynette's honor to your local humane society.

"Fly high our beautiful Pnut. Gone too soon, in our hearts forever."
