Mabel Louise Wright (nee Himes)

Mabel Louise Wright, age 80 died December 8th, 2012.
A native of Spelter, West Virginia, Mabel married her sweetheart Lawrence in 1951. They moved to Ohio in 1952, living first in Barberton then moving to Akron before finally settling in Mogadore. Mabel was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who showed her love for others through cooking and baking. She also enjoyed visiting with friends and watching the Cleveland Indians. She will always be remembered as a generous person who put others before herself.
Mabel was preceded in death by her parents Austin and Elva Mae, brothers Austin Jr. & Joseph and sisters Lucille, Edna, Kathleen & Pearl. She is survived by her husband Lawrence, sons Gary (Cathy) Wright, Jerry (Stephenie) Wright and Terry (Loren) Wright, daughter Debbie (Mike) O'Donnell, brother Richard Himes, sister Mary Belle Kipe and many loving grand and great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Tuesday, December 11 from 5-8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, where funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Bill Luzecky officiating. Interment at Greenlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Salvation Army.
