Madeline J. Martin (nee Phalen), 93, of Akron, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Saturday December 14, 2019. She was born to parents Edward and Josephine Phalen on August 12, 1926 in Akron.
Preceding her in death is her husband, Larry and her daughter, Alice Martin.
Left to cherish her memory are her children; Skip (Sandy) Martin, Donnie (Kathy) Martin, Leonard (Sue) Martin, Billy Martin and Kenny Martin, Pam (Rick) Flaherty, Cheryl Long and Vickie Long; sisters Clarabelle and Bernadine; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Madeline was devoted to her family; especially to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was always happy to babysit them and would go to their events whenever she could. She loved going to family picnics and going to yard sales. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation can be made to a charity of your choice in Madeline's name.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, December 19, 2019 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron OH from 11am-1pm with a service at 1pm. Interment will take place following at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
