Madonna Kay Edwards (Kelly)

Madonna Edwards, 59, of Akron, beloved mother and grandmother, died suddenly on May 22, 2005. Madonna worked as a cook for Akron Public Schools and was well-known as "The Cafeteria Lady" by her students. She was a member of the Eastern Star and the Blue Lodge. Madonna was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph "Butch". She is survived by her mother, Francis June Kelly; children, Bryan (Virginia), Jolie (Colleen), and Melissa (Jason) Endress; brothers, Jimmy (Marsha), Kenny (Pat), and Tom (Bob); mother-in-law, Mildred Bird; grandchildren, Samantha, Amanda, Tabatha, Sarah, Jason, Jacob, and Connor; many other relatives and friends. Family and friends may call on Thursday from 5-8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., where funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. with Rev. William Camp and Pastor Jim Orndorf officiating. Interment at Chestnut Hill Memorial Park. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Shriner Burn Unit.
