Mara Ellen Isley, 61, of Akron, passed away February 20, 2011. She was born in Fairmont, West Virginia on July 27, 1949. Mara enjoyed visiting the beach and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her mother, Betty Gower; stepmother, Katherine Gower; and siblings, Edward, Randy, and Katherine Gower. She will be deeply missed by her sons, Ryan Isley (Melanie Lechner) and Richard (Judith) Isley, Jr.; father, Robert Gower; sister, Kimberly (Basil) Linton; brothers, Louis (Edwina) and Robert (Donna) Gower; grandson, Kyle Isley; several nieces and nephews including special nieces, Kelli (Greg) Schott and Katie (Jon) Gerbetz; and former husband, Richard Isley, Sr. Family and friends may call on Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd. Visitation at the funeral home on Thursday from 11-12 followed by a 12 noon funeral service with Rev. Steven Gower officiating. Interment at Northlawn Memorial Gardens.
