Margaret "Marge" Arrant,

"Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass. It's about learning to dance in the rain." On February 13, 2022, Marge's soul rose to a higher plane due to frontotemporal lobe dementia and metastasized breast cancer.

Marge, 75, was born in Norfolk, Virginia, the fifth child of Ethel and Luther Arrant. The family moved to Mogadore, Ohio when she was one year old. She attended Suffield Elementary School and Field Local High School. Following graduation she was hired by Roadway Express, working in the mailroom there until she retired.

Marge was a woman of many interests and talents. She was fascinated by genealogy, researching the family history and making albums for her family with photographs, birth and death certificates, and many stories of ancestors. She was a fan of football, baseball, and tennis. She followed Nascar, especially Dale Earnhardt, Jr. She loved traveling by car, train, cruise ships and coaches. She was a tour director for Anderson Coach and Travel. She was an avid reader from childhood, especially a good mystery. She loved music and singing along with her favorite songs.

Her greatest passion was her volunteer work at the Akron Zoo for 23 years. She was the Queen for Boo at the Zoo. She took animals on zoo displays at malls and other places. Virginia, the owl, was her favorite and she was never afraid to handle the snakes.

Marge was preceded in death by her parents, Luther and Ethel Arrant, siblings and spouses Betty (Don) Kreiner, Bea (Glenn) Givens, Nancy (Mel) Bowman, and Larry Arrant, as well as good friends Linda Schromm and Carol Shope.

She is survived by her sister Aileen (Gerry) Mullaney, brothers Ed (Carol) Arrant from Weatherford, Texas and Bill (Yvonne) Arrant. Pamela Carlson (niece) and great niece, Phoebe "Pumpkin Butter" Carlson, were loving caregivers through Marge's lengthy illnesses. She also leaves many other nieces and nephews and their children.
