Margaret Mary Ann Cummings

Margaret Mary Ann Cummings, age 70, of Tallmadge, peacefully passed away on Thursday, October 31, 2024. She was born on February 6, 1954 to the late Richard and Delores (Doyle) Swigert. She was a lifelong resident of Akron, graduating from Central Howard High School in 1973 where she was a majorette and editor of the school newspaper. 

A strong and joyous woman, Margie was loved by everyone who crossed her path - known for her laughter and talent for story-telling. Margie was a generous person, always willing to offer help or support to a friend in need. Margie was a faith-filled woman that attended Akron's Church of the Annunciation. She had a special commitment to the Blessed Virgin.

Margaret is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, David Jr.; children Jodie (Anthony) Licata; David (Matthew Jurkowitz) Cummings III; grandchildren Julian and Claire Licata; brother-in-law Bill (Donna) Cummings; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her loving sister Deborah K. Ickes. 

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 5, 2024 from 11:00-12:30 at Newcomer Funeral Home and services will begin at 12:30 PM. Final resting place is Hillside Memorial Park .
