Margaret E. Chittenden
Margaret E. Chittenden, 92, of Akron, passed away February 5, 2009 at Akron City Hospital. She was born May 1, 1916 in Warren, Ohio to the late Orville George & Mary C. "Mame" (Dean) Yoxtheimer. Margaret was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. Prior to moving to Akron, she had been a member of Braceville United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Roy Gilmore; second husband, Harold Chittenden; 2 brothers and 2 sisters. She is survived by her daughter, Phyllis Woodarski; grandchildren, Eugene (Anne) Brandt, Pete (Laura) Brandt and Todd (Christy) Brandt; 7 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren; dear and special friend, Becky Brandt. Calling hours will be Monday from 5 - 8 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron where funeral services were to be conducted on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Jim Roma officiating.
