Margaret Ann Kaforey

Margaret Ann Kaforey (nee Catanese), age 96, of Stow, Ohio died on November 30, 2019 at Stow-Glen Care Center.
She was born on July 30, 1923 in Allentown, PA, the daughter of the late Ross and Mae (nee Malani) Catanese.
Margaret was a graduate of North High School in Akron. She worked for Jo Jo's Tavern in the kitchen and worked as a seamstress at Thornton Tailors, but most importantly she was a homemaker.
She enjoyed playing cards, Publishers Clearing House and being with her family.
Survivors include her children, Pat (Sue) Kaforey and Don (Vicky) Kaforey all of Akron; her granddaughter, Jennifer (Jerry) McKinley of Twinsburg; and her great-grandchildren, Jacob and Joey McKinley. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends that mourn her loss.
Other than her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Nathan "Nick" Kaforey, whom she married on December 16, 1949, he preceded her on January 7, 1997; her son, Robert "Bobby" Kaforey; and her siblings, Tony, Joseph, Ross, Carl, Peter, and Frank Catanese, Sara Rossi, Mary Milicia, Ann Milicia, Elizabeth Catanese, Frances Catanese, and Janet Scullen.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 6, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 North Canton Road, Akron, where Mr. Joel Raulerson will celebrate Margaret's life.
Family and friends may visit from 5:00 - 7:00 PM, Thursday, December 5, 2019 at the funeral home and also one hour prior to the service on Friday.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association or a charity of your choice, in Margaret's memory.
