Margaret Marie Mayfield

Margaret Marie Mayfield, age 67 of Suffield Twp., Ohio, died on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at her home due to a battle with Liver and Pancreatic Cancers.
She was born in Ravenna, Ohio, the daughter of Gertrude (nee Shriver) Mayfield of Suffield Twp., and the late Herman Mayfield.
Margaret was a graduate of Field High School and she went on to nursing school and Akron University and became an RN and worked for 36 years at Akron City Hospital. Following her years at Akron City Hospital, she then did private duty nursing for Care Source for approximately 5 years. Margaret enjoyed reading, watching tv, and loved her cats. She also did needle point.
Other than her mother, with whom she lived, Margaret is survived by three brothers, Larry Mayfield, Jack Mayfield, and Robert (Bonnie) Mayfield; three nephews, Jason, Thomas (Laura Jo), Timothy (Jan) Mayfield; her great-nieces and great-nephews, Alexis, Jacqueline, Samantha, Nathaniel "Nate", and Bret.
In addition to her father, Margaret was preceded in death by one brother, Dennis Mayfield.
Per Margaret's request there will not be any calling hours or services and arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Newcomer Funeral Home-Akron.
