Margaret Ann Pirogowicz

Margaret Ann Pirogowicz, aged 94, passed away in her sleep on Saturday, December 5th, 2020. She was born in Akron, Ohio on November 7th, 1926 to Julia and Angelo Bekelides. She is survived by her children, Walter (Pam) Pirogowicz, Jennifer (Steve) Eldridge, and Diane (Joe) Broz.
She worked as a secretary for Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co., loan processor for Centran Bank, and a patient coordinator in the emergency room at Akron City Hospital before retiring in 1992. Marge was an excellent cook, loved to bake and was very well known for her homemade sugar cookies. Family, friends and coworkers would look forward to making the "Sugar Cookie List" during the Holiday season. She was a very generous person, and no one ever left her home without the offer of a snack or meal. This same generosity was extended to all of her "kitties". Marge never met a cat she didn't like, or wouldn't feed. Whether it was the one sitting on her lap or the stray looking in the back door. Marge always had a smile and a few words of wisdom for those she met along the way. She not only lived life, she took the time to enjoy life, and urged others to remember to do the same.
Special thanks to longtime friends Ron and Arlene Shape for all the fun camping adventures, and Bob and Linda Kerns for the wonderful fish fries, both of which she enjoyed immensely.
