Margaret Elaine (nee Dykes) Swinehart, "Peggy", age 79 of Wadsworth, formerly of Springfield, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord on December 22, 2021.
She was born on November 21, 1942 in Akron, the daughter of the late Claude North and Janie Lou (nee Mason) Dykes.
Peggy was a graduate of Springfield High School. She was a lifetime, active and beloved member of the Springfield Church of the Brethren, where she played the piano/organ and sang in the choir. Peggy was incredibly strong in her faith!
She loved music and animals, however her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her two sons, Stephen (Jacqueline) Swinehart and Michael (Denise) Swinehart; her grandchildren, Zachary, Tyler and Victoria.
Her siblings also survive, Claudette Forney, J'anne Burket and Leslie (Marilyn) Dykes; and many nieces and nephews survive as well.
Memorial services will be held on Friday, January 7, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 North Canton Road, Akron, where Pastor Andrew Wenger will celebrate Peggy's life.
Family and friends may visit from 1:00 - 2:00 PM on Friday, January 7, 2022 at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the Alzheimer's Association in Margaret's memory.
