Margaret E. Wilson

Margaret Wilson, 78, passed away peacefully on August 26, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Bays, West Virginia, to Pearly and Dora (Pierson) Rose. Margaret spent most of her adult life in the Akron, Ohio, area. She has been a devoted member of Grace Baptist Church since 1975.

Margaret's passions included growing flowers, taking monthly trips to the Haven of Rest, exploring thrift stores, and spending cherished time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Martha, as well as Margaret's siblings, Myrtle, Frank, and Doyle. She will be deeply missed by her husband of over 59 years, Carl; as well as her children, David and Mary; her grandchildren, Brandon and Ashley; her great-grandsons, Zander, Bryson, and Ryker; and her siblings, Elsie, Norma, Nancy, Otis, Ovis, and Ralph. Margaret also leaves behind many nieces and nephews who will remember her fondly.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Wednesday, September 4, 2024, from 5-7 p.m. at Newcomer, Akron Chapel, located at 131 N. Canton Rd. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 5, at 10:30 a.m. at Grace Baptist Church, 704 N. Firestone Blvd, Akron. Interment will follow at Hillside Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Margaret's name to Grace Baptist Church.
