Margaret Young

Margaret W. Young, 90, passed away on September 19, 2011. Margaret retired from the Summit County Sheriff's office. She enjoyed crafting and spending time with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents, George and Mary Young; brothers and sisters. Survivors include sons, Tony Whobrey, Barry Whobrey, Craig (Judy) Whobrey, and Stewart (Marilyn) Whobrey; daughter, Deborah (Mike) Lanny; 10 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Special thanks to Stow-Glen, Essex, and Hospice of Summa for their care. Calling hours will be Thursday, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, with a funeral service to follow at 1 p.m. Interment at Sunset Hills Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Summa.
