Marian L. Deitch, age 86 of Austintown, Ohio Formerly of Brimfield, died on Wednesday, March 11, 2020 in Akron General Hospital.
She was born on September 12, 1933 in Cahokia, IL, the daughter of the late August and Marie (nee Junior) Juelfs.
Marian worked for 25 years for Roadway Trucking as a billing clerk. She enjoyed cooking, sewing-she made her children's clothes when they were young and also made all of her granddaughter's dresses for beauty pageants and school dances. She also made all of the dresses for daughters bridal parties. She played piano and sang.
She loved to cookout and boat. Marian never missed a sporting event or band event of her children, grandchildren or great-grandchildren.
Survivors include her children, Gail (Steve) Abernathy, Ruth Deitch, Rhonda Deitch and William Craig (April) Deitch; her five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Other than her parents, Marian was preceded in death by the love of her life, William J. Deitch on January 16, 2011, they were united in marriage on March 17, 1956; her great-grandson, Alex Deitch; and her siblings, Lillian Schofield, Roy Juelfs and Elmer Juelfs.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 16, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 North Canton Road, Akron, where family and friends may visit from 10:00 - 11:00 AM.
She will be laid to rest next to her husband in Restland Cemetery, Brimfield, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
