Marian Sue Van Nostran

Marian Sue Van Nostran, 72, of Akron, passed away on June 7, 2016. She was born in Akron on March 13, 1944 to the late Harry and Elizabeth Shank. Marian loved children and spent her career as a daycare provider. She also loved sewing and was a collector of dolls. Marian could often be found enjoying Gospel Quartet music and studying her Bible. She will be deeply missed by her loving husband whom she married on August 30, 1963, Timothy Van Nostran; sons, Todd Van Nostran (Lisa Zink) and Eric Van Nostran (Robin Norris); grandchildren, Tad, Erica, Nicolas, and Matthew; and lifelong friend, Sheryl McKissick. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 10, 2016 from 11-12 followed by a 12 noon funeral service with Pastor Jeremy Schweyer officiating at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Summa, 444 N. Main St., PO Box 2090, Akron, OH 44398-6153.
