Marianna E. Brown, 63, of Uniontown, passed away August 29, 2013. She was born in Akron on September 15, 1949 to the late John and Gustina Dudich. Marianna was an employee of Akron General Medical Center for 30 years and a longtime member of St. Matthew Parish. Marianna loved the outdoors and enjoyed gardening, camping, bicycling, kayaking, and caring for her pet ducks. She also loved bowling, bingo, and restoring classic cars with her husband, Ray. Above all, Marianna cherished spending time with her husband, children, and grandchildren. She felt her true calling in life was being a grandmother.
Marianna will be deeply missed by her loving husband of 43 years, Raymond L. Brown, Jr.; daughters, Tammy (Don) Zehner and Crystal (Chris) Bower; brother, John Dudich and his children, Rebecca Cope and Dan Dudich; grandchildren, Samantha Zehner, Katelyn Bower, Megan Bower, and Jordan Bower; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and family in Louisiana and Ohio; and lifelong friends, Cheryl and Anna.
Visitation will be Wednesday September 4 from 4-6 p.m. followed by a 6:00 p.m. funeral service at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. Private interment will take place at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
