Marie Denise Morris

Marie Denise Morris, 62, passed away on September 13, 2024. She was born on June 16, 1962 in Newport News, Virginia to Robert and Barbara Morris.

Marie began her career at Diebold as a customer service representative before being promoted to materials analysis. She was a dedicated employee who enjoyed her work and the camaraderie of work friends. After a successful career at Diebold, she was a vet tech at a local veterinary office. She also found fulfillment caring for animals at a local pet store. 

Marie was a loyal friend, with a great sense of humor. She loved the Lord and her family and will be truly missed by her dear friends and family.

Marie was preceded in death by her mother, Barbara Laidig; sister, Theresa Thrush; maternal grandparents, Steve and Julia Haydu; paternal grandparents, Ben and Elizabeth List; aunt, Elizabeth Fillo; and her beloved canine companion, Kody.

Marie is survived by her father, Robert Morris; sister, Julianne (David) Curtis; aunts, Lisa (Steve) Wooldridge and Michelle List; nieces and nephews, Katie (Eric) Labbe, Matthew (Brittany) Doepker, Brittany Gerena, Ricky Gerena, Hannah (Remy) Salem, and Jenna (Justin) Cisar.

Per Marie's wishes, cremation will take place. Her life will be celebrated privately at a later date.
