Marilyn Lou Clark, 84, a life-long resident of Cuyahoga Falls, passed away at Bath Creek Estates on January 22, 2022 within 22 hours of the death of her husband Frank. They would have celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary this April. Frank's life is covered by a separate obituary.
She was preceded in death by her parents Thomas William, Sr. and Betty Jane Kaugher.
She is survived by her siblings Thomas William Kaugher, Jr., Carolyn Kelley, Penny Robinson; children Mark (Debbie) and Keith; grandchildren Keri DiGeroloma, Mark Clark, Jr.; great grandchildren Cydnee Morris, Bailey Clark, and Brandon DiGeroloma; great-great grandchild Isaiah Allen.
Marilyn courageously battled and endured a long list of illnesses throughout her entire life starting as early as childhood with polio, and as recently with Covid. She was the perfect model in showing us how to put up the good fight against our illness, to deal with it, and to move on. What a trooper she was! We thank you for being that role model, Marilyn.
She devoted her life to her family as a wife, mom, grandma, sister, and aunt. She went by Mom, Grandma Marilyn, Frammy, Framaw, Babes, Queen Sister, Sis, Sisamatana, Pishana, Auntie M (and maybe she was the real Mrs. Gunabeatus) all endearing names to those who loved her. A small, but mighty lady, she was always on the sidelines supporting her family doing whatever needed to be done to take care of them; and she got the job done…no matter what. One way she cared for her grandchildren was to make rice pudding for them to celebrate a special occasion or to comfort them when they were sick.
She was here to make sure you were told what to do, to make sure you did it, and to make sure you didn't forget what she thought you should do. She was a focused, caring, loving, strong-willed, persistent individual who took on the role of doing the best job she could do to rule her roost. And she succeeded. We thank her for that.
We will definitely miss her love and direction. She taught us well, and we need to carry that torch forward.
We will miss her.
