Marilyn C. Mays (Hill), passed away August 29, 2020, she was born in Akron June 12, 1937.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Mary Tom Hill; one brother, Craven; and her husband, Dale C. Mays of 28 years.
Marilyn was a 1955 graduate of Copley High School and dedicated office manager of Howell-Viggers for over 30 years.
She is survived by her daughter, Lisa (Joe) Risby; her brother, Gene (Peggy) Hill of Barberton; her sister-in-law, Brenda Hill of Alabama; three stepsons, David Mays of McConnelsville, Daniel (Iretta) Mays of Norton and Dennis Mays of Mt. Hope; nine grandchildren, Lauren (Ben) Zelei of Wadsworth, Heather Butti of Columbus, Sarah (Adam) Bendel of Ashland, Noah Risby of Canton, Michele Fink of Zanesville, Stephanie (Lewis Goins) Mays of Zanesville, Tawnia (Jeff) Novak of Wadsworth, Jason (Charlotte) Mays of Wadsworth, Ryon (Sarah) Mays of Fredericksburg and Mark (Kristin) Mays of Wooster; 13 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews including loving niece Sherry(Jeff) Basinger of Ellet including Jeffrey and Courtney Basinger.
Memorial services will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 North Canton Road, Akron, on Friday, September 4, 2020 at 11:00 AM where Rev. Nevin Wiest will celebrate Marilyn's life.
Family and friends may visit from 10:00 – 11:00 AM on Friday at the funeral home.
