Marilyn R. Henderson-Jenkins
Marilyn R. Henderson-Jenkins, 60, passed away after a long battle with cancer on September 16, 2007, with her family by her side. Born in Akron on January 18, 1947 to the late Charles and Violet Abrams. Marilyn was a member of the Women of the Moose, Lodge 852 in Mogadore and enjoyed crafting. Her family was very important to her. When her children were younger, she was involved in Indian Maidens and Ellet Baseball Association. She was a friend to all and a caregiver by nature. Survivors include her husband Loran; daughters Andrea (Rob) Morrison, Tracy Murphy, and Carrie (Mark) Watson; grandchildren Naomi and Sierra Morrison and Brady Watson; brothers Steve (Jennifer) and Kenny (Theresa) Abrams; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friends Tom and Cheryl Henderson. The family would thank to extend sincere thanks to Hospice Care Center and dear friend Tressa Harold for their care and support during Marilyn's illness. Calling hours will be Thursday, 4-8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, where funeral service will be held Friday at 11 a.m. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park.
