Marjorie Jean Arnold, age 93, passed away on February 27, 2022.
She was born on September 14, 1928 in Akron, Ohio, the daughter of the late Darwin Oscar and Edna Sophie (nee Miller) Pritchett. She lived in Tallmadge for over 50 years.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 51 years, Lemoyne "Sonny" Arnold. She died on the same date 23 years later. They were united in marriage on June 5, 1948.
Marjorie was a fabulous homemaker and cook. She enjoyed cooking for her family and friends. She was also a great caregiver of her mother-in-law, sister and many others.
Marjorie is survived by her children, Douglas (Dianne) Arnold of Atwater, Jennifer (Kent) Bayer of Corpus Christi, Texas, Gaylyn Walker of Stow and Brian (Sharon) Arnold of Kent; her brother, Willis (Barb) Pritchett; five grandchildren, Erin, Collin, Logan, Tina and Erika (Mike); four great-grandchildren, Brady, Ava, Makaila and Stella; and many other relatives and friends.
Other than her parents and husband, Marjorie was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Patrick Walker; and her sister, Wanda Knotts.
There will be a private memorial service and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
A special thank you to her caregivers at Shepherd's Gate and Mercy Hospice for their tender care and love of Marjorie.
All arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Newcomer Funeral Home, Akron, Ohio.
