Marjorie F. Bostick, age 100, of Akron, Ohio, died on Thursday, May 24, 2018 at Akron City Hospital.
She was born on May 4, 1918, in Alderson, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Floyd J. and Katherine (nee Smith) Newberry.
Marjorie was a retired manager in the automotive department for the KMart on Arlington Street. She enjoyed gardening, canning, vacationing, sewing, and quilting. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family.
Survivors include her three daughters, Mary Bostick, Cheryl Bostick, and Lesa Bailes; her grandchildren, Michael Bostick, Deborah Alsherifi, Scott Bostick, Kathy Stanley, Deborah Stockton, Terri Sweeney, Jaci Shreve, George, Greg, and Paul Hopkins, and Jennifer Brown; 25 great-grandchildren and 24 great-great-grandchildren. Marjorie's youngest brother also survives, Joe Dale (Judy) Newberry.
Other than her parents, Marjorie is preceded in death by her husband, Marshall W. Bostick in 1987; her son, Jay E. Bostick and her daughter, Linda Lambert; and her siblings, Kermit, Travis, Jack Newberry, and Margaret Joyce Dick.
Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at 1:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 North Canton Road, Akron.
Family and friends may visit on Tuesday, May 29, 2018 from 5:00 - 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
Marjorie will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Akron.
